About Dare2Share & Anita
Dare2Share exists because God calls us to care for the poor, widows, orphans and the vulnerable. We are committed to transparency, accountability and sustainability while preventing and reducing hunger and poverty in communities we serve.
About Anita van der Westhuizen
Anita van der Westhuizen
Anita founded Dare2Share 11 years ago while serving as acting principal at The Mountain Cambridge Baby & Toddler Preschool in Hartbeespoort. Together with a group of parents, she began raising funds to support a parent diagnosed with cancer — and what started as a single act of compassion grew into a ministry touching communities across South Africa.
With over 20 years of community service, Anita is deeply committed to restoring dignity, offering hope, and supporting the vulnerable — especially children, widows, and families facing poverty. Her leadership is marked by compassion, courage, and a passion for uplifting the “poorest of the poor” through sustainable support.
Anita strongly believes in respect, equality, and dignity for every human being. She leads Dare2Share alongside dedicated team leaders who oversee multiple communities, working to reduce hunger, bring relief, and build long-term stability for families in need.
“Here am I, send me.” — Isaiah 6:8
Her journey is guided by Jeremiah 29:11, a reminder that God has plans to prosper, strengthen, and give hope to those who feel forgotten.
